Lana Lee Gandy

Lana Lee Gandy grew up in New Braunfels, TX.  Her father was a football coach and history teacher and her mother is still a teacher at Mission Springs School in San Antonio, TX.  She had an older sister, Lisa that was the love of her life that she lost to  a quick fight against cancer.

Lana went to school at New Braunfels High School, then to Bauder Fashion College where she studied Interior Design and then to Texas State University where she studied Business.  Lana became passionate about food and people at a very young age.

Her grandparents, Mom and Dad Lee always had a garden that they harvested on every visit.  They were always in the kitchen and around the dinner table.

On her father’s side, her great grandparents, Mimi and Papa Duncan lived on a farm where chickens, pigs and gardens were in abundance.  Once again, the kitchen and dinner table were the focus.  Being in sales all of her life, people have been of the utmost importance and challenges at every corner.  As a young girl her favorite memories are of Sunday dinners with her Mother, Daddy and sister, Lisa.  Her mother always on every Sunday had a beautiful dinner prepared for after church.  It was a time for talking and getting ready for the week to follow.  A cherished time.  Those times were so special to Lana that they are the driving force for What’s on Your Stove?  Bringing family and friends back to the dinner table.  Talking, cooking and enjoying each others company.  To make a difference in the world one step at a time.  Won’t you join her and “What’s on Your Stove?” as they travel across our proud country learning peoples heritage and meeting your neighbors and families?
